Custom users can be granted the ability to view, create, update, and delete maintenance mode configurations under the Permissions settings in the user editor. All custom users will be able to at least view maintenance windows that have already been configured on a device.
Q: Will an entry appear under a device's Health dashboard if a maintenance window has been configured for the device, but not yet started?
- A: No — you will not see an entry regarding maintenance mode in a device's Health dashboard until the maintenance window has started.
Q: Does suppressing features such as patching, integrated AV scans, or scripting with maintenance mode suppress only scheduled instances of those actions, or are ad-hoc actions also suppressed?
- A: When an action is suppressed via maintenance mode such as patching, integrated AV scans, or scripting, both scheduled and ad-hoc instances of these actions will be suppressed.
Q: If software is installed/uninstalled while a device is in maintenance mode, will 'Software added/removed' notifications be sent after maintenance mode is disabled?
