NinjaOne Ticketing SMTP Microsoft 365 Troubleshooting: Disabled Authenticated SMTP

Issue

The "Authenticated SMTP" has not been enabled for the account you are using to send emails.

Environment

NinjaOne Ticketing

Cause

The configured settings in Microsoft 365 cause this issue. 

Resolution

If the "Authenticated SMTP" has not been enabled for the account you are using to send emails, you can correct this through the Microsoft 365 admin center

  1. Select the user and open the Mail tab. 
  2. Under Email apps, click Manage email apps

  1. Activate the checkbox for "Authenticated SMTP."

If you need to disable the SMTP AUTH protocol for your organization, you can do so through SettingsMail flow settings
