What levels of access does NinjaOne have when I approve a device?
Approving a device will enable NinjaOne to monitor and manage said device, install any integrated components, and grant access to the credential store.
What level of permissions is required to approve a pending device?
Only system administrators can view pending devices and change the approval status.
If a device is in a "Pending" state, does this mean the NinjaOne agent is installed on it?
Yes. When a device is in a pending state (prior to being approved or rejected), the NinjaOne agent is installed, but any integrated components are not, and NinjaOne is not monitoring or managing the device.
What happens to a device when I reject it?
When you reject a device, NinjaOne will delete its record from the console. This triggers a command to uninstall the NinjaOne agent on the physical endpoint. Simultaneously, it will also prevent NinjaOne from being reinstalled on the device in the future (unless you clear the rejection).
I have wiped out devices, and I want to re-add them to my NinjaOne Dashboard. Should I reject them?
No, in this case, you will need to delete the device in NinjaOne. For instructions, refer to NinjaOne Platform: Delete or Remove a Device.
The method used by NinjaOne to reject a device is designed to recognize a device even if it's been wiped out.
