Bitdefender GravityZone Troubleshooting: Restore and Exclusion Failure

Issue

Upon attempting to add an exclusion at the device level, an entry in the Activity feed states, "The attempt to 'Restore and Exclusion' failed as the GravityZone policy assigned to this device is READ-ONLY. Please assign a new policy allowing the 'WRITE' operation."

Environment

  • NinjaOne integrated vendors
  • Bitdefender GravityZone

Cause

The policy on the GravityZone side is set as read-only. 

Resolution

Go to your policies in GravityZone and update them to accept "write" operations. Assign the policy as default so the devices will be properly mapped in NinjaOne to the correct company.
