Adding Custom Favicons and Logos

Topic

This article explains how to customize the look of NinjaOne Saas Backup with your own favicon and logo.

Environment

NinjaOne SaaS Backup

Description

You can set up both favicons and logos on the Organization Settings page in NinjaOneSaaS backup. Adding your logo allows you to rebrand the user interface, providing a more customized experience. Favicons can further enhance your branding. Review the sections below to learn more.

Favicons

A favicon is a small icon that acts as branding for the website. It appears in the corner of the browser window next to the organization's name. You can add a favicon by navigating to the Organizational Settings page in NinjaOne SaaS backup and uploading an image file in the designated box.

To add a favicon, follow these instructions:

  1. In the NinjaOne SaaS Backup partner portal, place your cursor over the gear icon in the left side navigation menu and select Organization Settings.
  2. Click Browse file next to the Favicon listing.
  3. Browse and open a file from your computer. You can upload files in JPEG, PNG, ICO, or GIF format.

Once you have set a favicon, you'll see it displayed in the Favicon listing on the Organization Settings page.

Favicon Display

There are multiple ways a favicon could display, depending on what level you set it at.

The top-level login page will display the favicon you uploaded to the Organization Settings page. If you haven't set a favicon, the system shows a generic favicon on the top-level partner's login page. The system always displays a NinjaOne favicon on the top-level partner's other pages, regardless of whether you have uploaded a favicon.

There are three possible ways a favicon can display on the sub-partner's login page:

  • The system displays a generic favicon if the top-level partner does not set a favicon.
  • The system displays the same favicon that the top-level partner uploads if they choose to.
  • The system displays the favicon that the sub-partner uploads if they choose to.

In addition to the login page favicon settings outlined above, there are two possible favicons on the sub-partner's other pages.

  • If the top-level partner has not set a favicon, the system will display a generic favicon by default.
  • If the top-level partner has uploaded a favicon, that favicon is displayed.
Important Note: Format files that you can upload: *.JPEG, *.PNG, *.ICO, *.GIF

Logos

You can set a custom logo to replace the default NinjaOne logo that appears in the user interface (UI). Add a logo by navigating to the Organizational Settings page in NinjaOne SaaS backup and uploading an image file in the designated box. For partners who enable custom logos for their sub-partners, an additional logo field will also be available on the Organization Settings page for this purpose.

To add a logo, follow these instructions:

  1. In the NinjaOne SaaS Backup partner portal, place your cursor over the gear icon in the left side navigation menu and select Organization Settings.
  2. Click Browse file next to the Logo listing.
  3. Browse and open a file from your computer. You can upload files in JPEG or PNG format.

Once you have set a logo, you'll see it displayed in the Favicon listing on the Organization Settings page.

Logo Display

Logos display options will be different depending on how your NinjaOne SaaS Backup has been implemented.

  • Logo → System shows the logo field when the configuration on the sales portal is off. The system will display anything uploaded here on the navigation bar of the Organization and sub-partner pages, and the login page if your partner is white labelled.
  • General logo → System shows the general logo field when the configuration on the sales portal is ON. The system will display anything you upload here on the navigation bar of the Organization page.
  • Additional logo → System shows an additional logo field when the configuration on the sales portal is on. Anything you upload here will display on the navigation bar of the sub-partner pages and the login page, if they are a white label partner.

The logo will display differently depending on how you set it. Here are the possible scenarios:

  • If both top-level and sub-partners do not set a logo, the result will be as follows:
    • The login page logos of both top-level and sub-partners will be blank.
    • The top-level partner's logo on the other pages will be a NinjaOne logo.
    • The top-level partner's organization logo will be a NinjaOne logo.
    • The sub-partner's logo on other pages will be blank, and the navigation bar will be white.
    • The sub-partner's organization logo will be blank.
  • The top-level partner can just set the general logo without an additional logo. If the sub-partner does not set a logo, NinjaOne SaaS backup will use the logo of the top-level partner for the organization portal for both the top-level and sub-partners.
  • If the top-level partner only sets the additional logo without the general logo, and the sub-partner does not set a logo, it will affect:
    • Login page of both top-level and sub-partners.
    • Sub-partner's logo on other pages.
  • If the top-level partner sets both the general and additional logos and the sub-partner does not set a logo, the result will be:
    • The login page of both the top-level and sub-partner will follow the additional logo of the master partner.
    • Top-level and sub-partner organizations will follow the general logo.
    • Sub-partner pages will follow the additional logo.
  • If a top-level partner does not set any logo, but the sub-partner sets one, it will only affect the sub-partner organization's logo.

Because there are multiple ways a logo or favicon may or may not display, it's always best to check to ensure you and your client are seeing what you expect after changing these settings.
