Questions

Select a question to review the answer:

Can I create an end user with access to devices across multiple organizations?

You can create a global end user, which allows you to assign them to devices across organizations. To do so, open the end user's account and select All Organizations in the General Basic Details section. Then, open the Devices section and click Add Device(s).

If I grant a technician access to one organization and all devices, will they be able to view all devices (including those outside that organization)?

No. Entities are restricted to the organizations to which a technician has access. In the scenario above, the technician would only have access to the devices within the organization to which they belong.

Can an end user opt to have NinjaOne provision a device for remote desktop protocol (RDP) access?

No. A NinjaOne system administrator must provision a device for RDP access in order for an end user to successfully connect.

I'm trying to grant an end user TeamViewer access, but I cannot find it as an option. Why is this?

This may occur if you do not currently have TeamViewer configured for your NinjaOne account. Refer to TeamViewer: Transitioning to NinjaOne Remote for information on configuring TeamViewer.

Is there a session timeout for end users with remote access?

End-user sessions will have a 48-hour timeout. If the end user does not select the Remember me option upon logging in, their session will also be terminated when they close their browser.

How often do end users need to validate their session with multi-factor authentication (MFA)?

End users must enter an MFA code on each login.

Can I use my pre-existing TeamViewer login with end user sharing?

With TeamViewer Automatic mode (which is compatible with end user sharing in NinjaOne), a TeamViewer login is not required, as connections are made directly within NinjaOne, and the license is sent via the API. Please do not attempt to use a pre-existing TeamViewer account with these connections.

How can I change the organization my end user belongs to?

If you configure a user to have access to only a single organization, you must delete their account and reconfigure it to make this change. Alternatively, you can create a global end user with access to All Organizations, which allows you to add or remove device access for devices in any organization in your environment at any time.
