NinjaOne Patching: Approving Third-Party Patches by Default

Topic

This article discusses how to enable default patch approval for third-party patches in NinjaOne.

Environment

NinjaOne Patching

Description

Default Approvals let administrators automatically approve all relevant critical updates for NinjaOne-supported software. You can:

  • Set patch approval across both NinjaOne and Winget-supported apps.
  • Work more efficiently by auto-approving critical updates to stay secure without having to manually confirm each application update.

Activating Default Approval

  1. In NinjaOne, navigate to AdministrationPolicies Agent policies, then choose a policy from the list.
