Fixing Backup Error 310: Unable to Back Up Volume

Issue

Backups for a protected endpoint fail with the error message, "Error 310: Unable to Backup Volume."

Cause

The plan is attempting to back up a volume that does not have a valid disk partition type (for example, RAW).

Resolution

Remove the volume from the backup plan or change its filesystem to a valid partition type.
