Topic
This article provides information about our automatic activation of NinjaOne Remote for customers who currently use TeamViewer in their NinjaOne instances.
Environment
- NinjaOne Remote
- TeamViewer
Description
We recently announced that the agreement between NinjaOne and TeamViewer will expire at the end of the year. To ensure you and your technicians maintain continuous and stable remote access to your devices, we performed a behind-the-scenes update. Here's what changed:
- If you used TeamViewer in the past, we took a snapshot of your most recent TeamViewer settings.
- If NinjaOne Remote was already enabled for your account, we made no changes.
- If NinjaOne Remote was not enabled, we enabled it and mirrored your TeamViewer configuration to your environment's NinjaOne Remote settings as closely as possible, including OS availability, technician permissions, and organizational-level settings.
We recommend activating the auto streamer setting to automatically deploy and update NinjaOne Remote. To do so, in your NinjaOne instance, navigate to Administration → Apps → NinjaOne Remote → Advanced Settings > Default Streamer Settings > Automatically update streamer.
