Description

Refer to the following table for definitions of terms and acronyms used in conjunction with our CrowdStrike integration guides. 

TermDefinition
AIDThis is the Agent ID or Host ID, which is the unique host identifier for CrowdStrike.
CID GroupsThis is a grouping of configurable CIDs that may contain multiple "child" (subordinate) CIDs.
CID Group MembersThe list of subordinate CIDs that belong to a given CID Group.
CCID"Customer ID Checksum" is an identifier provided to the Falcon Sensor during installation so that the given host can be assigned to the correct account.
Falcon SensorThis is the CrowdStrike Agent, which is the executable that is installed on the device.
Flight ControlThis is the CrowdStrike product that allows MSSPs to link multiple subordinate accounts into their Parent CID. 
IDIdentity or identification (usually a number)
 MSSPManaged security service provider
Parent CIDThe root account for an MSSP, which aggregates all of its subordinate CIDs.
