Description
Refer to the following table for definitions of terms and acronyms used in conjunction with our CrowdStrike integration guides.
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| AID | This is the Agent ID or Host ID, which is the unique host identifier for CrowdStrike. |
| CID Groups | This is a grouping of configurable CIDs that may contain multiple "child" (subordinate) CIDs. |
| CID Group Members | The list of subordinate CIDs that belong to a given CID Group. |
| CCID | "Customer ID Checksum" is an identifier provided to the Falcon Sensor during installation so that the given host can be assigned to the correct account. |
| Falcon Sensor | This is the CrowdStrike Agent, which is the executable that is installed on the device. |
| Flight Control | This is the CrowdStrike product that allows MSSPs to link multiple subordinate accounts into their Parent CID. |
| ID | Identity or identification (usually a number) |
| MSSP | Managed security service provider |
| Parent CID | The root account for an MSSP, which aggregates all of its subordinate CIDs. |
