Ninja One SaaS Backup
Description
NinjaOne SaaS Backup is a cloud backup platform that helps you securely back up, manage, recover, and protect your business information. The automated incremental backups simplify the backup, recovery, and compliance process. NinjaOne SaaS Backup works with Microsoft 365 (Hosted Exchange, Groups, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive), Gmail (including Calendars, Contacts, and Tasks), and other IMAP email servers. We also offer plans that include Microsoft Entra ID Backup. For more information about backing up Entra ID, refer to NinjaOne SaaS Backup: Entra Backup Configuration.
NinjaOne uses 256-bit (AES) encryption at rest and in transit and fully supports multi-factor authentication (MFA).

The registered Active Directory (AD) Group's Members are validated every 12 hours (Schedule Time, 2 A.M. and 2 P.M. UTC Daily). NinjaOne SaaS Backup configures this same time across all Regions so that all Organizations will follow the same scheduled time. You cannot customize these settings.
With shared drive backups, if the scan shows an empty drive, it will not check again for one week. If a scan finds new items, it will proceed with a regular schedule.
If, during a scan, NinjaOne SaaS Backup detects that a user mailbox, drive, or team is empty, NinjaOne SaaS Backup will check back periodically to see if any data has been added and will proceed with backups only once you or another user has added data. The frequency of these checks varies by data type and can be between 3 days and 7 days. If you or another user adds data to a previously empty user, it might take up to a week before NinjaOne SaaS Backup detects that new data and starts backing it up. However, once the backups have begun, the backup will follow the standard schedule.
Backup Scheduling
NinjaOne SaaS Backup automatically schedules subsequent backups based on the completion time of the previous backup.
Billing Options
Monthly Billing
The invoice is generated based on the highest number of purchased seats in a subscription for the entire month.
Prorated Billing
The invoice is generated based on the number of seats on each day of the month.
Backup Only
Backup Only is the most preferred solution for small and medium-sized business users. Pricing is based on the number of mailboxes and includes unlimited storage and retention. Features include user access control management, file/attachment manager, advanced search, and advanced reporting via insights. Insights and relationships give a summary report of all emails in and out of an organization. Restore, download, or migrate the entire mailbox or just one email with the click of a button. Email Backup also includes Microsoft 365 backup, a simple and robust solution that automatically protects your most important Microsoft 365 data in the cloud and restores any file on demand. SaaS backs up SharePoint, OneDrive, Contacts/Calendars/Tasks, Groups and Teams, Shared Mailboxes, and Public Folders.
Backup Plus Archiving
Backup Plus Archiving is the perfect agentless archiving solution for businesses that must comply with regulatory requirements. Emails are archived using envelope journaling, which NinjaOne SaaS Backup employs to archive emails without fail. Features include advanced eDiscovery (with the option to filter using 17 attributes), legal hold, customizable retention periods, audit trail, audit review capabilities, tags, and role-based access, in addition to granular user access control, file/attachment manager, and advanced reporting via insights.
Business organizations need to be able to retrieve any relevant email message in the event of legal discovery, audits, and business or personnel investigations. NinjaOne SaaS Backup's archiving plan systematically stores evidentiary-quality records in a central repository with security to guard against tampering.
