Bitdefender GravityZone Troubleshooting: macOS AV Reporting is showing Integrated Bitdefender GravityZone as “Unknown”

Issue

The AV Status Report shows "Unknown" for macOS devices integrated with GravityZone or returns an internal status of "partial installation."

Environment

  • NinjaOne integrated vendors
  • Bitdefender GravityZone

Cause

This issue may be caused by internal installation problems. The agent may report the AV status as "Product State = OFF" and "Definition Status = Out-of-Date."

Resolution

The following are some options that may resolve the issue: 

  • Open AV UI on the target device and check for updates.
  • Ensure all permissions given to the Disk Access are also given to the AV processes in the device's System Settings.
  • Reboot the device.
