This article explains how to mount image backups to the cloud, allowing you to access files and folders for download or restoration.
Environment
NinjaOne Backup
Description
If you have an Image backup plan where you've chosen cloud storage, NinjaOne Backup enables you to easily mount volumes and access the files and folders for download or restoration to any machine within the organization that has backup enabled.
This method is more straightforward than a full image restore. It is available to NinjaOne technicians or end users with proper permissions. Mounting an image from the cloud may be a good option if you only need to access specific files or folders.
If you need to restore an entire image or volume, or if you only have local image backups available, refer to NinjaOne Backup: Image Restores for alternative methods.
- This capability is only available to NinjaOne Technicians and Users to whom you grant backup access.
- Only image backup data in the cloud can be mounted using this method. You cannot mount backup data stored locally or on network storage devices using this method.
- You can only mount NTFS-formatted file system volumes. You cannot mount ReFS-formatted volumes.
- The restore option provides greater speed and resiliency over download when the file size exceeds 10GB.
