NinjaOne Platform
Description
When you sign into NinjaOne and your account does not default to the Getting Started page, you will see the System dashboard. From here, you can administer the various organizations and devices under your NinjaOne umbrella.
For each type of dashboard, there are three different levels: System, Organization, and Device.
- System Dashboard Level Access
- Organization Dashboard Level Access
- Device Dashboard Level Access
- Dashboard Tabs
- Additional Resources
System Dashboard Level Access
The System dashboard displays information about all NinjaOne organizations and devices to which a user has access. To access this dashboard, click Dashboard in the left navigation pane.

The system-level dashboard provides a holistic view of all the customers/organizations added to NinjaOne and an overview of devices under all organizations. The Overview tab displays automatically by default.
Refer to NinjaOne Platform: Navigating the System and Organization Dashboard for information about the widgets under the Overview tab.
Organization Dashboard Level Access
The organization dashboard displays information about the devices under a specific organization. To access this dashboard, click on any organization from the System dashboard.
You can access an organization dashboard by selecting an option from the system dashboard Organizations widget under Overview.

Device Dashboard Level Access
You can navigate to a device dashboard by selecting a device on the Organization dashboard or from the Devices search grid.
For more information about using the device dashboard, refer to Manage Devices and Run Actions from the Device Dashboard.
Dashboard Tabs
This section provides a description and Dojo resources for the tabs found throughout the system, organization, and device dashboards.
Select a tab to learn more about its functionality:
- Devices Tab
- Patching Tab
- Software Tab
- Vulnerabilities Tab
- Backup Tab
- Activities Tab
- Knowledge Base Tab
- Documentation Tab
- Custom Tab
- Ticketing Tab
- Details Tab
- Settings Tab
Devices Tab
The Devices tab has several sub-tabs to choose from. This tab is available on the system and organization dashboards.

Select an option below to learn more:
| Devices Tab Option | Information and Resources |
|---|---|
| Maintenance | The Maintenance sub-tab lists all devices with currently configured maintenance windows. For more information about this dashboard, refer to Maintenance Mode and Manage Devices and Run Actions from the Device Dashboard. |
| Pending Automations | This sub-tab displays any scripts that are run on devices ad hoc (not on a schedule) while the device is unavailable. For more information, refer to Policies: Scheduled Automations and NinjaOne Policies: Driving Automation and Efficiency. The Pending Automations sub-tab at the system level provides a view of all pending scripts across devices. Pending Scripts are scripts that were triggered to run on a device when it was offline and are waiting for that device to come online to run. Scripts are organized in the following way:
Scripts can be cancelled from any of the Pending Scripts dashboards. To do so, check the checkbox next to the scripts you would like to cancel, and then click the Cancel Pending Automation(s) action link that displays above the table. |
| Alerts | The Alerts sub-tab at the system level provides a way to view all currently triggered conditions across all devices in your NinjaOne environment in one place. Refer to Notification Channels and Endpoint Monitoring and Alerting Playbook for more information. |
| Agent Installers | This tab shows all manage installers for organizations. Refer to NinjaOne Agent Installation: Agent Tokenization for more information. |
| Threats | The Threats sub-tab at the system level provides at-a-glance information about active, blocked, or quarantined threats on any of your devices. Note that only threats from integrated antivirus (Bitdefender or Webroot) will be displayed in this dashboard. Refer to Health Statuses for more information. When you move your cursor over the Threats dashboard, you will see two options: Active/Blocked or Quarantined. These options allow you to sort the dashboard by the type of threat you are looking for.
If you select multiple threats, only the actions that those threat types have in common will be available to run. Therefore, if you select multiple threats from multiple AV vendors, no actions will be available to select. |
| Approvals | The Approvals sub-tab displays all nodes that are either pending approval or have been rejected. For more information, refer to Node Approval. |
Patching Tab
Find patch management tools under the Patching tab of the system and organization dashboards.

- The Patching → Software dashboard at the system level shows the software installed across all of your managed endpoints and third-party software patch data (if you have third-party patching enabled for any of your policies).
- The OS Patches dashboard at the system level shows the OS patching data from devices across your entire NinjaOne environment. This dashboard is only visible if you have Windows patch management enabled for any of your NinjaOne policies.
For more information, refer to NinjaOne Dashboards: Patch Management.
Software Tab
The Software tab provides a list of software installed across all operating systems managed in NinjaOne and the dates of installation or upgrade. This tab is available on the system, organization, and device dashboards.
Select devices to uninstall them. You can use the Devices column to find a list of all devices with a specific software installed or export the data.

Vulnerabilities Tab
The Vulnerabilities tab is available on the system, organization, and device dashboards. The page groups data by CVE, with each row of the dashboard's table representing a single CVE and the related devices. This data is filtered by the set of devices visible to the calling user, so the dashboard only contains counts of visible devices.

Backup Tab
The Backup tab provides views to gather data about your NinjaOne Backup data. Refer to Dashboards: NinjaOne Backup for more information about this dashboard. You can also refer to SaaS Backup: Resource Catalog.
This tab is available on the system and organization dashboards.

Activities Tab
The Activities tab at the system level shows activities from devices across your entire NinjaOne environment. This tab is also available on the organization and device dashboards.
To view all activities, select All. Other options contain preset filters, so the data is already organized by subject.

You can filter activities by the following options:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Organization(s) | Search for a specific organization or organizations to filter the activities. |
| Device(s) | Choose a specific device or devices to filter the activities. |
| Accounts | Search for a specific technician or end user account or accounts to filter the activities by. |
| Type(s) | Choose a certain category or categories of activities to filter. |
| Filter | Filter by a specific activity. |
| Date range | Filter by one of the following date ranges: the last three months, the last day, the last week, the last month, or by a custom date range. Note that the last three months option is the furthest back that the Activities dashboard can go. |
- When a patch is approved or rejected for Windows OS, macOS, Linux OS, and third-party patching, a new system activity is created showing:
- What action was taken (approved or rejected)
- The name of the patch
- Who approved or rejected the patch (full name of user)
- When the patch was approved or rejected
- Affected policies (policy overrides)
- Affected devices (device-level override)
- The organization and device names listed in organization-specific and device-specific activities serve as links to the respective organization dashboard or device page.
- If a device or organization name is listed in red, this device or organization has since been deleted and is therefore no longer available to access.
- If the content of an activity is long and gets cut off in the UI, you can move your cursor over the text to see the full content. Some may have a "more" option; click this to see the data in a pop-up window.
- There are a few actions available in the top right corner:
- Export lets you export a CSV file with information about the activity list that you are currently viewing (per any selected filters).
- Refresh refreshes the activity list.
Knowledge Base Tab
The Knowledge Base tab lets you manage global knowledge base documents or add and upload documents from the dashboard. This tab is only available on the system dashboard; on the organization dashboard, it will be available under the Documentation tab.
For more information, refer to Dashboards: Knowledge Base.

Documentation Tab
The Documentation tab on the organization dashboard provides several documentation tools:
- Apps & Services: Use this tool to create and manage templates under Apps and add or view documents on the organization dashboard. Refer to NinjaOne Documentation: Apps & Services for more information.
- Knowledge Base: Use this tool to create a wiki, or database, of all the necessary documents for an organization or global use. Refer to Dashboards: Knowledge Base for more information.
- Checklists: Use this tool to create documentation designed to organize tasks, manage workflow steps, or outline steps for your technicians and end users. Refer to NinjaOne Documentation: Checklists for more information.

Custom Tab
Custom fields allow you to publish data about a user, endpoint, organization, or location in NinjaOne. System administrators create the custom fields and then use those fields to populate the Custom tabs on the organization and device dashboards.
Custom tabs can hold multiple "sub-tabs," and each sub-tab may use different custom fields depending on the type of information you want to share with your users.
Refer to Custom Fields: View and Modify for more information.

Ticketing Tab
The Ticketing tab appears on the organization and device dashboards if you have the NinjaOne Ticketing app enabled.
From here, you can manage tickets that have been assigned to that specific organization, rather than using the Ticketing dashboard, which shows tickets across all organizations added to the NinjaOne console.
Refer to Ticketing: Resource Catalog for more information.

Details Tab
The Details tab on the device dashboard allows you to view various device identification information and hardware specifications from a single page in NinjaOne. This article describes the different sections and what data you can expect to see in these sections.
For a complete breakdown of the Details tab information, refer to NinjaOne Dashboard: Device Details.

Settings Tab
The Settings tab provides a detailed view of device specifications and information about apps that are enabled for the device. From here, you can manually disable an app for that device only or change specifications such as the assigned user or device role.

The Settings tab provides the following sections:
- General: View device information, patch overrides, credentials, and device approval. From here, you can take the following actions:
