Issue
During a protected endpoint's backup operations, you encounter the error message, "Error 312: Existing NinjaOne Backup repository root folder location missing."

Cause
During backup operations, the device could not find the root folder where backups reside on the network storage. An accidental change of the network storage path, either in NinjaOne or on the protected endpoint, or deletion of the directory where backups are stored, can cause this error.
Resolution
You can troubleshoot this error by performing the following steps:
- Verify that the Network Storage value in NinjaOne at Organization → Network Storage exists.
- Perform a Network Storage test. Observe whether the test succeeds.
- Review the network directory to see if the folder structure has changed. Update the storage path in NinjaOne if it has.
