Issue
Pre-flight checks for a protected endpoint's backup job fail with the error message, "NAS_FAILED_TO_AUTHENTICATE 315."
Environment
NinjaOne Backup
Cause
NinjaOne Backup could not access the network storage location with the configured credentials.
Resolution
Ensure that the correct credentials are present in the Network Attached Storage (NAS) configuration. You can perform a credential test by navigating to Organization → Network Storage.
Alternatively, review the endpoint's settings for the correct network credentials.
