Behind every great company is a work culture shaped not just by big milestones, but by the people who show up every day to make things work, often behind the scenes.
One incredible member of our team, Lauren Gomez, Senior Accounts Payable Lead, plays one of those essential roles. For the past 7 years, Lauren has been a steady force behind our growth, helping ensure our operations scale seamlessly as NinjaOne continues to expand. Lauren supports critical processes and enables our teams to move quickly and effectively as we grow globally. Her work is foundational to where we are today and where we’re headed next. Let’s get to know Lauren.
Tell us about yourself. What do you do at NinjaOne?
Hi! I’m Lauren. I am in Accounts Payable (AP) operations. I help keep our AP processes running smoothly by improving workflows, staying organized, and making sure all financial requests and expenses get processed accurately and on time.
What makes a great partner for the finance team here?
Communication, integrity, reliability, and of course, accountability!
What’s one way that financial operations impact the broader company, perhaps more than people might expect?
Finance touches almost every part of a company. It’s not just about tracking money, it actually helps guide decisions, control risk, and keep the business running smoothly.
What’s a fun or unexpected memory you have from your time here?
When I started working at NinjaOne about 7 years ago, the company still had an office in San Francisco, and I went there for 2 weeks of training. My parents visited me while I was there, and we turned it into a fun family trip, exploring the city after work.
I remember one day, my family and I paid for this tour boat to go under the Golden Gate Bridge, but once we got on the water, I realized how rinky-dink this boat was! I was legitimately concerned that we wouldn’t make it back in one piece (it was a cold and windy day, classic San Francisco), but I love a good adventure. I sat near the front of the boat and got splashed by the Pacific waters. Being from Florida, that was the coldest water I’d ever felt! But it’s a great memory and one I’ll cherish forever.
What is the most important thing you’ve learned at NinjaOne so far?
NinjaOne has taught me a lot of things over the years: the importance and value of teamwork, and everyone here is treated like family. One thing that stood out to me when I first joined was that we always addressed our emails as “Hi team.” I really do love that. My other jobs never addressed the company like that! It’s a small thing that really stands out. NinjaOne has also taught me a lot about resilience and perseverance. Even when things get tough, it’s important to never give up and push forward to succeed. Hard work is rewarded here.
What advice would you give to someone new joining NinjaOne?
Work hard, stay consistent, do your best, and don’t be afraid to take on new challenges. You never know what you might be capable of if you don’t step outside of your comfort zone.
What are you passionate about outside of your career?
I have a few! Raising my kids (19, 17, and 1.5) to be good humans. I also love plants. I used to work for a garden nursery, and (fun fact) can name most of the plants I see. 😊 Another side hobby of mine is keeping nostalgia alive! This includes playing Super Mario 64 when I can, and thrifting vintage kids’ clothing. Every piece feels unique, and it’s rewarding to find items that are both high quality and affordable while giving them a second life. I either keep them for my baby or will resell them for fun.
