May, 2023 Product Updates: Patching for Linux and an All New Dashboard


During the month of May, NinjaOne will roll out a slew of exciting new features and enhancements as part of their 5.3.9 release. Most of the features are the direct result of requests from our customers and we’re glad to be able to bring them to light.

First, NinjaOne has a new Patching dashboard that is currently available for NinjaOne customers to test drive.  NinjaOne automated patching saves IT teams hours every week and ensures that critical patches are remediated quickly, significantly reducing security risk. The new dashboard allows customers to view OS patch status for all their endpoints at a glance, and respond to failed or missed patches directly from this view.

We also added a new dashboard for our Ninja Data Protection backup solution. Ninja Data Protection backs up critical business data – files, folders, and device images — on customized schedules from within the NinjaOne console.  With features like self-service file restore, remediation tools, and support for Windows, Mac, and server backups, Ninja Data Protection is an ideal solution for organizations looking for a simple but secure way to protect important data.

Viewing the status of all scheduled and in-progress backups can be complex so NinjaOne is excited to offer a new dashboard that makes filtering and viewing the protection status of all endpoints fast and easy.

Ninja Ticketing helps organizations track and manage service requests, tasks, and collaborative projects with information-rich tickets. In response to feature requests from our customers Ninja Ticketing has added several new capabilities to improve flexibility and efficiency including:

  • Support for SMTP Modern Authentication for M365, allowing tickets to be sent from company domains
  • The ability to add or rename ticket statuses with our custom ticket status feature
  • Auto-assignment to organizations for tickets through automation rules
  • Show Contact Details adds the ability to open the contact modal within a ticket

For summer release, the NinjaOne product team is finishing work on a number of game-changing integrations and new features. More to come!
