Happy World Backup Day + Ninja Data Protection 6 Months In

To celebrate World Backup Day, we're tipping our hat to all the IT providers out there keeping data secure and giving an update on the rollout of our own backup solution, Ninja Data Protection.

While NinjaOne has made huge strides in the functionality of our remote monitoring and management software since our founding in 2013, until 2020, we were a single-product company. That all changed in August of last year when we released Ninja Data Protection – our cloud-based file and folder backup product for Windows.

For many at NinjaOne, Ninja Data Protection wasn’t their first foray into backup. Sal Sferlazza, our CEO, and key members of our development team have successfully brought to market backup products in the past.

With Ninja Data Protection, we set out build a backup solution that minimizes management effort and drives partner efficiency through a native single-pane-of-glass integration that allows users to manage the backup lifecycle alongside other endpoint management workflows.

And the initial feedback has been incredibly encouraging.

“The way cloud backup is integrated seamlessly with the platform is just great! Our clients love seeing perfectly detailed reports every month. It gives them peace of mind knowing a 'ninja' is working in the background keeping their business running flawlessly. We love it.”

– Frank Simon, Rango Technologies

Our partners are confirming that Ninja’s incremental block-level backup technology, strong compression, and account-wide pooled storage is helping them keep data protection costs low so they can deploy Ninja in almost any environment. Our policy-based backup planning and unified agent architecture is making deploying and managing backups fast and easy.

In terms of the rollout and early adoption, here are some additional stats we're excited to share.

Since August of 2020, over 500 partners have utilized Ninja Data Protection to protect over 1.5 petabytes of critical business data on over 7,500 workstations and 1,200 servers. In addition, Ninja Data Protection was also voted a Top Performer in backup software on software review site Capterra.
