Release Schedule: January 27 – February 25
NinjaOne’s 12.0 release has arrived to improve how IT teams manage assets, integrate service delivery with business operations, gain insights into profitability and health status, and proactively resolve any recovery issues. MSPs can now sync service delivery with business processes using a professional services automation (PSA) bundle. Plus, boot verification continuously proves that image-based backups are bootable, and therefore recoverable, in disaster recovery scenarios.
Tool visibility and control over every IT asset
The much-anticipated NinjaOne IT Asset Management (ITAM) has now entered general availability, solving the headache of fragmented device tracking. With a unified view across both managed and unmanaged devices, technicians can accurately track the full lifecycle of an asset — from initial purchase to final decommissioning — within a single platform.
PSA bundle to sync service delivery and business operations
The wait is over for MSPs looking to eliminate tool sprawl. Built into our Unified MSP Operations platform, the NinjaOne PSA helps you integrate technical delivery and business goals. By unifying billing, ticketing, documentation, and ITAM, you can run your entire service delivery and business operations in harmony without leaving money on the table. Keep your focus on profitability and long-term success by automating business processes and gaining clear visibility into your margins.
With the inclusion of billing in NinjaOne PSA, MSPs now get robust billing reporting. Plan strategically and allocate resources using data-driven insights into your total invoice amount and profitability by customer or product category. Determine which areas of your business are paying off, and which areas to adjust moving forward.
NinjaOne PSA compared to legacy solutions
| Feature | NinjaOne PSA | Legacy PSAs |
| Integration | Native/unified: Built directly into the RMM for a single platform experience. | Fragmented: Often a collection of acquired tools that require complex syncing. |
| Ease of use | High: Designed for modern workflows; technicians can be operational in hours. | Low: Typically need dedicated consultants or weeks of training to onboard. |
| Asset visibility | Real-time: Unified view of managed and unmanaged assets automatically. | Manual sync: Requires frequent data reconciliation between RMM and PSA. |
Server backup boot testing for recovery readiness
NinjaOne can now validate server backup recoverability with automated boot verification. On a regular schedule, the system confirms that image-based backups can successfully boot, turning backups into proven recovery points without requiring manual testing.
This automated approach reduces the risk of failed restores and supports audit readiness with less effort. By surfacing boot errors early, it reduces the manual burden on IT teams and ensures recovery issues are resolved long before a disaster strikes. Best of all, this feature comes at no extra cost, delivering added peace of mind without added spend.
Correct role access from the start
Starting with the right access and configurations in the SaaS Backup Portal is now effortless with Role-Based Access Control. Technician roles are automatically applied at login based on NinjaOne permission classes so the right organizations and settings are in place from day one, with no separate login or manual setup required.
By reducing manual setup, this update helps prevent access mistakes and strengthens least-privilege control. Added visibility into portal activity also simplifies tracking and compliance reviews. This automation hardens security by removing human error, and role-specific Audit Logs provide granular visibility for compliance reviews and reporting.
Health status alerts
This phased-rollout feature will enhance NinjaOne’s condition-based device health system by introducing customizable health statuses, severity levels, and alert priorities to provide technicians with actionable insights. Technicians can define how individual conditions impact overall device health and tailor alert dashboards, helping them reduce false alarms and reduce alert fatigue.
Remote support for Linux in early access (EA)
NinjaOne Remote Linux support allows you to support your Linux endpoints from within the NinjaOne platform through secure remote sessions. By eliminating the need for third-party tools or insecure workarounds, it provides a consistent support experience across Windows, macOS, and Linux. This update streamlines your workflow through tool consolidation and full-stack visibility so you can manage diverse environments under one roof.
In 2025 alone, NinjaOne delivered 20 total releases and over 600 new features, feature enhancements, and products.
