Creating a team in Microsoft Teams Start By launching Microsoft Teams on desktop or web. Then sign in with a Microsoft 3, 6, 5 account on the sidebar click teams. Then join or create a team. Choose build a team from scratch. Select either public or private visibility and give it a name and description. Add members if you want, or skip for now. You'll also be prompted to create your first channel as this is where conversations and documents will live. Click create to finish setting it up, managing your team. Now to manage Head to your team, click the three Dots and hit Manage team. From here, you can add or remove members. Promote users to owners or adjust roles. Need another channel use Add Channel. In the same menu. You can also edit or delete channels and control access for each one individually. Under the settings tab, customize things like team name, description, profile, photo, member permissions, and guest access. If your org allows external collaborators, toggle those guest settings accordingly. Using Microsoft Planner for task management, for project tracking, integrate Microsoft Planner into your team inside any channel. Click the plus icon Select Planner. Then either create a new plan or link an existing one. Once added, it appears as a tab for everyone in the team. Tips for better collaboration.
