Challenge
Managing distributed operations without unified tools
For an IT services company like Foxwall, speed and visibility are crucial. Its technicians relied on N-able for remote management but faced several bottlenecks. Customer onboarding meant manually installing agents one by one, then configuring policies across the fleet. For large customers, this took a full day or more.
Worse, the dashboard didn’t deliver real-time visibility. Agents appeared delayed or never showed up at all. “We understood that we couldn’t scale with it,” recalls Giuseppe Cozzucoli, Foxwall’s IT Manager. “We looked for something that could do better.”
Then came NIS2. After transposition into Italian law in late 2024, the EU’s Network and Information Security Directive landed squarely across multiple industries Foxwall serves. At the IT operations level, their customers now faced a clear set of expectations, such as consistent patch and vulnerability management, auditable asset inventories, enforced access policies, and centralized log collection across their device estates.
For an IT services company like Foxwall, NIS2 created an opportunity. Customers in regulated sectors needed to strengthen operational controls across their environments, but adding yet another point tool meant more complexity, more cost, and more for technicians to manage. Cozzucoli saw a different path, consolidating those controls within a unified IT platform.
Solution: Why Foxwall Chose NinjaOne
Scaling daily operations without additional headcount
By unifying monitoring, patching, remote management, helpdesk ticketing, and mobile device management into a single platform, Foxwall achieved business growth without hiring additional technicians. This directly translates into improved margins and a competitive advantage. “Using NinjaOne changed our business in a positive way,” says IT manager Giuseppe Cozzucoli.
After an initial demo, Foxwall migrated from N-able to NinjaOne in a single month. “NinjaOne is the best cloud-native endpoint management solution out there today,” says Giuseppe. NinjaOne has become the core of Foxwall’s daily operations. “The first thing we open in the morning is NinjaOne. When a customer creates a ticket, we log in to NinjaOne and connect remotely. It has become our go-to software.”
Color-coded dashboard for instant visibility
“Our favorite feature is the dashboard,” says Giuseppe. “N-able was a legacy dashboard. NinjaOne is intuitive. We understand the state of our devices at a glance.” The color-coded health view lets technicians and managers immediately identify what needs attention across more than 1,000 customers, eliminating the need to sift through dozens of reports. Foxwall’s customers noticed the improvement, too. “Our customers are very happy to use NinjaOne,” Giuseppe notes.
Results & Outcomes
Automated onboarding cuts deployment from days to hours
With N-able, onboarding a 400-endpoint customer required more than a full day of manual, one-by-one agent installations. With NinjaOne, a single installation on the Active Directory server triggers automatic deployment across all domain devices via GPO. “As soon as we install the NinjaOne agent, the endpoint appears in the dashboard,” says Giuseppe. Today, onboarding a 400-endpoint customer, including policies and customer training, takes just 4 to 6 hours. That’s a 75% reduction in onboarding time.
NIS2 as a growth opportunity
Under NIS2, Foxwall’s customers in regulated sectors needed to prove they were managing risk consistently – not just running the right tools but generating the documentation and logs to show it. Consolidating those controls at the endpoint layer within NinjaOne was the answer.
NinjaOne’s SNMP capabilities allow Foxwall to collect logs not only from computers and servers but also from firewalls, IoT devices, and other network infrastructure – all in one platform. NinjaOne ITAM maintains a continuously updated asset inventory across customer environments. Combined with autonomous patch management and the built-in SentinelOne EDR integration, Foxwall can address a meaningful range of operational controls relevant to NIS2 from one consolidated platform. “A lot of new customers call us to implement NinjaOne in their infrastructure to help comply with NIS2 requirements,” says Giuseppe. What began as a regulatory tailwind has become a durable competitive advantage.
Integrated Ticketing & MDM
By bringing ticketing into the same platform as monitoring and remote access, NinjaOne gave Foxwall’s largest customer a structured workflow where technicians see the ticket, access monitoring data, and connect remotely, without switching tools. The built-in timer tracks time per ticket against monthly contracts. Since moving to NinjaOne Ticketing, MTTR has halved from 30 minutes to 15.
For customers with international operations and mobile workforces, NinjaOne MDM manages Android devices across multiple countries from a dedicated dashboard. Foxwall previously used VMware AirWatch but migrated customers to NinjaOne once it became clear the platform handled device management more effectively. Now, they handle application deployment and feature restrictions from a unified platform.
Customer support and faster technician onboarding
NinjaOne’s ease of use has had an unexpected internal benefit: new technicians get up to speed in a day instead of weeks. With N-able, onboarding required configuring VPN clients, memorizing IP addresses, and navigating multiple virtualization layers. Now, Giuseppe hands a new team member access to NinjaOne, and they have an immediate overview of every customer’s infrastructure. “New team members learn how to use NinjaOne within a day. They have an immediate overview of all our customers and their infrastructure,” he explains.
NinjaOne enabled Foxwall to absorb growth without proportionally increasing headcount. They support significantly more accounts proactively, their ticket resolution time has halved, NIS2 compliance opened a new market, and customer onboarding time decreased massively. “We grew up a lot with NinjaOne,” Giuseppe reflects. “It’s easy to explain to customers. We can have proactive management. More customers, same team. Exactly what we needed.”
