Overview

Since opening its doors in 1930, The Bushnell has welcomed more than 20,000 performers to its stage — from Judy Garland and Ray Charles to The Rolling Stones and Idina Menzel. More than 30 million patrons have experienced a show within its historic walls.

“In our business, we have a saying: the show must go on. That’s only possible with the technological support that empowers our box office and stage. We rely on our IT team to make that happen,” explained CEO David Fay.

Their previous tools made maintaining IT infrastructure challenging. They used on-prem IT tools, so staff had to physically walk through the venue or drive out to remote locations miles away to update, patch, and remediate endpoints, draining time and stretching already limited resources. It was time to raise the curtain on a new approach that would keep the show running without missing a beat. The IT team turned to NinjaOne.

From five to NinjaOne

The switch to NinjaOne consolidated five previously separate tools into an all-in-one endpoint management platform.

“NinjaOne is the best cloud-based [endpoint management] solution that is out there today. The return on value is phenomenal. You can’t beat it,” enthused Director of IT, Matthew Krawiec. “NinjaOne is a force multiplier because it streamlines and automates core IT operations including patch management, ticketing, software deployment, and remote access.”

Flexible, autonomous patching

“NinjaOne allows us to automate all our IT processes. We can now monitor all our endpoints and servers throughout the entire day which unlocks maximum uptime. This means that our box office, whether in the theater or in the field, is always up and running,” said Krawiec. “That’s essential to our business because we need to be able to sell tickets, or the show literally does not go on.”

Randale Nunley, Manager of IT and Finance added, “It’s almost nonsensical. With fewer tools, we have greater capability. We can now confidently ensure that every system is updated appropriately and save time in the process. NinjaOne Autonomous Patch Management easily saves us 10 to 20 hours per month.”

Cost savings that matter

Krawiec shared, “We save tens of thousands of dollars in SaaS fees. That’s great for the theater because those savings can be reinvested in different areas that need it more.”
