Select a File History drive via Control Panel. Press Windows plus S, type Control Panel, and hit Enter. Click File History from the list. In the left-hand menu, click Select Drive. Choose the drive you want to use and click OK. If you've backed up files before, Windows might ask if you want to move your old backups to the new drive. Choose Yes or No based on your needs. If the drive doesn't already have recent backups, you'll get a prompt. Click Yes to use it and start fresh. Once everything's set, File History turns on automatically and starts backing up your files. Choosing the right drive for File History helps keep your data safe and easy to recover.
