Alternatively, private profiles are designed for trusted environments, making your device discoverable on secure networks. Always check your active profile to ensure proper access to shared devices and avoid connection issues. How to view all Windows network shares. In this chapter, we'll show you how to view all network shares in your Windows PC using File Explorer, command prompt, PowerShell, and Computer Management, or GUI. Option one, using File Explorer. This is the fastest way to view shared folders on your network. Open File Explorer or press Windows key plus E. In the address bar, type your computer name or your IPV. Press enter to display all shared folders on the device. If you've pinned network to quick access, simply click it and select your computer name to browse shares. If prompted, enter your network credentials to access shared resources. Option two, using command prompt. This method is ideal for a quick overview of shared items. To launch the command prompt, press Windows key plus R, type CMD, and then press Control plus Shift plus Enter to open as administrator. Type net share and press enter to list all network shares. Option three, using PowerShell. Unlike command prompt, using PowerShell is best for a more detailed overview. Open PowerShell from the Start menu. Run this command and press enter, Get-WmiObject -class win32Share. Option four, using Computer Management, GUI approach. Lastly, you can view network shares via GUI. This method is ideal for visually managing shared folders. Open the Start menu and search for Computer Management, or press Windows key plus R and type compmgmt.msc. Navigate to System Tools, then Shared Folders, and click Shares. View all active shared folders on your system.
