On the other hand, if you want more control or better security, you can easily disable this feature. How to Enable or Disable Windows Password Sync Let’s explore how to enable or disable this feature depending on your needs— starting with the Windows Settings method. First, open Settings. Then go to Accounts and select Sync your settings. Now make sure you're signed in with a Microsoft account, not a local one. Password syncing only works with the former. Next, scroll to Individual sync settings and look for the Password option. To enable password syncing, toggle the switch to On. To disable it, simply switch it Off. This only stops future changes from syncing across your devices and does not delete any passwords already stored locally. If you're an advanced user or system administrator, you can manage password sync using Group Policy or the Windows Registry.
