Why do I need to back up QBO? I already have backup from Intuit.
Intuit clearly states in their Terms and Conditions (6.1.1) that they are not responsible for their user’s data: “You are responsible for any lost or unrecoverable Content. … Intuit is not responsible for any of your content that you submit through the Services.”
Intuit’s primary QBO plans don’t include backup. Their advanced tier does, but it stores backups in the same cloud as your production data, which violates the 3-2-1 backup rule (3 copies, 2 media types, 1 offsite). In this instance, one ransomware event, outage, or account compromise can take out both your live data and backup.
NinjaOne SaaS Backup stores your QBO backups in a separate, isolated environment, so you have a recovery path even if your Intuit account is compromised.
