This article explains how to customize the prioritization order of your dynamic policies in NinjaOne.
For detailed information about the logic NinjaOne uses to resolve priority conflicts, refer to NinjaOne Policies: Getting Started With Dynamic Policies - Conflict by Priority for more information.
To configure your policy priorities, perform the following steps:
- In NinjaOne, navigate to Administration → Dynamic policies → Windows.
- The Dynamic Windows policies page will load.
- NinjaOne defines prioritization per policy class. Select the Desktops and laptops or Servers tab. Then, click Manage priority.

-
The Manage dynamic priority modal will load, enumerating all of your organization's active and inactive dynamic policies in descending order, with the highest priority at the top of the list. Each entry provides information on whether the dynamic policy is active, the areas it configures, and the target rules to which it is assigned. Device overrides and non-dynamic policies do not appear in this list.
Separate priority lists exist for devices in the Desktops and laptops and Servers classes.

- Use your mouse cursor to click and hold the
(move handle) icon next to the dynamic policy you'd like to reprioritize. - Drag the policy to the desired priority position.
- When you finish making changes, click Update to apply the new priority order.
